Kicking off 2012 right!

As of Monday February 7th, I’ll be shooting full time for Penthouse!
I’m really excited particularly because I will be working with some old friends. It’ll be a new adventure that will have a nice cozy familiar feel.

2011 was a rough year for me, I loss two dogs that I loved dearly, and a few old friends as well. Life is very fragile – be good to yourself and be good to one another – especially those that you care for and who care about you. Once they’re gone….. its too late.
In lieu of last years tragedies, I vowed to make 2012 a positive year so I’m very happy to see evidence that it’s heading down that path.

Yay me! As an owner of a few Fender guitars I was really proud to find out that the shots I took of my friend Sharon Aguilar were used for the Fender NAMM booth and Fender website. :-)

Adriana Luna & Kiera King

This past week has been slower than the previous…. few months but never the less I had a few great shoots. The first was with beautiful new comer Adriana Luna, the second was with ultra sexy Kiera King.. there’s about Kiera that just does it for me. Maybe it has something to do with the 4th of July 2009. lol You had to be there. ;-)

Here’s a preview of a site that I’ve been shooting for. The site is still being constructed but it will be called “Young Secrets”. These are totally teaser shots but still hot. Enjoy and check back soon for more samples.

Before the year is out I’m going to do my best to pack in as many shoot with some of my favorite girls. Yes, I have a lot of favorites – more than I’m able to shoot but that’s beside the point. The point is, this is going to be a really, really fun month! Here’s a few on my hit list: Adriana Luna, Gisselle Leon, Tia Cyrus, Ivy Winters, Indigo Augustine, Arial Rose, Holly Michaels and more with Reena Sky. I’ll post updates as they come.

My new muse

Recently I’ve become friends with a woman who totally enchants me. She smart, sexy, sultry, silly, laud back and absolutely beautiful. We got together and did a shoot last week. I’d hoped on getting a lot more shots but after a late start (totally my fault) and the two hour drive to the location, we only had about thirty minutes to shoot before darkness took over. We did manage to get a few great shots and more important – she wants to shoot again. :-)

Ladies and gentlemen, Reena Sky

In 2006 I was an active contributor to the toilet rag (inside joke with the editor) known as Fox Magazine. I managed to score seven covers in a year and at least one pictorial every month. At the time I was juggling my pursuit of being a professional musician and my “day job” of being a professional photographer. Considering that I was on the road for three to four months at a time touring with bands I guess seven covers was an admirable accomplishment.

I’ve come to realize that the more I pursue music – the more photography opportunities come my way. Over the past six or seven months I’ve embedded myself in writing, performing, recording and producing my new band. As synchronicity would have I’m starting to get a constant flow of photography work and covers for Fox again. :-) “When a man finds his path, heaven is kind” ~ Kwai Chang Cain (70′s tv show ‘Kung Fu’)

Anyone who’s spent two minutes reading this blog should at some point come to realize a few basic things about me. I had my heart broken, I love my Great Danes and I make my living primarily from shooting porn.

Thanks to the beauty of twitter, over the past month or so I’ve continued to receive tweets from (anonymous) guys who seem to feel the need to tell me that some of the girls I shoot and are attracted to are racist. My guess is that this person(s) is actually in the industry but is trying to stir things up. Or, that they are simply a “know it all” spectator. Another little known fact, the main consumers of interracial porn are white men! So maybe its some disgruntled white guy who isn’t seeing what he wants. Don’t know – don’t care.To bring everyone up to speed, “interracial” (IR) sex in the adult industry does not mean sex between people of different races. It actually means sex with “niggers”. Yes, I said niggers and by niggers I mean black men because this is how we are viewed by those who have set the stage. A white male or female can have sex with whomever is available, an Asian male or female can have sex with whomever is available, a hispanic male (even dark skinned) can have sex with whomever is available, a black female can have sex with whomever is available(there are a few exceptions to this). However, a black male can only have sex with girls who are available for IR.

Many fans as well as insiders point fingers at the girls and cast blame on them. Ultimately, there is truth in this but it’s not that cut and dry. The adult industry is run by it’s producers, directors and agents. The larger and more established producers and agents are the people who have set up the bigoted structure. I know of two substantial agents who have said things in (assumed) confidence; “too many darkies there..”, “Tori Black ruined her life by getting pregnant by a black man” and more to the point “I don’t let my girls fuck niggers”. To find evidence of racism from producers and directors one need not go further than the good ole world wide web where you can hear things like “That’s right, you’ll lick dirty man-ass but you wont fuck a nig-nog! hahaha”.
I couldn’t make this shit up if I wanted to.

The previous examples are blatant racism but a more subtle and infectious action comes under the guise of “business”. This maneuver has become widely accepted and promoted as the thing to do and is rarely seen for what it truly is. Often, when a girl enters the industry her agent will advise her hold off of doing IR until her career needs a boost. Once the girls reach that point they are then marketed as “NOW DOING INTERRACIAL”. Generally, this ploy comes after “Now doing anal”. Clearly making black men the final taboo. The other tactic is for the girls to hold out on doing IR in hopes of creating a demand which allows them to ask for more money – last taboo, final cash point. Agents who adhere to this practice aren’t necessarily racist – capitalist or opportunist maybe?

Many girls will tell you that they avoid IR because black men are uncomfortably large. Some truth exist in this because many producers want to ride the myth/stereo type and only employ black men who are freakishly endowed. But, there are many white and hispanic performers who are also very large. As well, there are plenty of black male performers who are well within normal size. Another reason that agents and female talent site for not doing IR is that many of the black productions are ghetto. Again, there is truth in this. Many of the black productions aim to be “hood” or as the owners of Justin Slayer International told me “Make it niggerish”. There’s a market for everything but you cant expect everyone to want to be apart of your specific market. I grew up on military bases, suburbs and later in Brooklyn, NYC. I can relate to the hood but I have no desire to promote what i see as a self-defeating mentality. Am I racist, does this make me an Uncle Tom as I was recently called (by twitter @kensonwaller) for defending a long time friend on this topic? Does choosing to not be a part of a particular genre or sub-culture make one racist? If so then all black performers should be eager to play slaves, mammies, butlers, Sambos, Step-n-Fetch It, thieves, gangsters, rapist, etc. for any white company. Some will argue that, these girls are simply whores and are paid to do whatever we want them to do. However, even street walkers pick and choose their “Johns”.

On the flip side, I’ve witnessed at least two girls who in my opinion are racist doing quite a few IR scenes. I have no idea if it was or ever will be released but there is an on camera interview with Lucious Lopez where she says some very revealing things. Write to the guys at Justin Slayer International and ask about it. Hopefully they’ll put it on youtube or something. More upsetting, are the four or five girls I know who are black but either ask or are advised to be listed as Latina. Speaking of the whole latin/hispanic thing again, here’s a little FYI for you that I feel I must bring up. My ethic make up is of Slave, Slave Owner and Native American; End result = Light skinned, high yellow…. whatever. Looking EXACTLY as I look, if I decided to be a performer and marketed myself as Brazilian, Cuban or Dominican, I would no longer be considered “IR”.

In closing, I have to say that ultimately the girls are to blame, not because they are racist but because they are unaware. When it’s all said and done the girls run the show and they could put an end to this IF they were aware(or cared) of their power. Ninety five percent of the girls have yet to realize that their agents are employed by them. As a result, they cling to the “advice” that agents give them. Advice like “you’ll lose and work and money if you do IR” or “hold out as long as you can and then cash in on your first IR scene”. It’s total myth and complete bullshit but if a girl is unaware of the facts and blindly follows her “boss” then she will simply do as she’s been told. I could site more but I’m over it. Start your own production company and deliberately exclude all of the girls who excluded you (just dont add insult to injury by not paying people on time!) OR stop your bitching and moaning about who’s not going to fuck you in your fantasy while you’re watching porn. Grow up people, the world will never be as YOU want it.
